Welcome to the Legacy of Kain
Greetings, I am ColdBain, I will be your tour guide to being a vampire. Or at least, give the low down of Blood Omen and it's vampire superstar, Kain.
Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, is set in the fantasy world, Nosgoth, it's appearance and structure reminisant of medievil Europe. The main character, (i.e. the one you will be controlling) is Kain, hence the title. He is an arrogant nobleman, from a fine village located in Northen Nosgoth called Coorhagen. Kain, in his time as a nobleman, was very ambitious, but also directionless, roaming Nosgoth for adventure or for a mere journey. On one fateful night, Kain was booted out of a pub in a village named Vasserbonte, just south of the Pillars of Nosgoth (I'll tell ya about these things later) and was murdered by a group of brigands.
Kain's soul, fixed to some supernatural bindings in the underworld, still had the enemy's blade rammed through his back, when he was approached by the Guardian of Death, the Necromancer, Mortanius, and was offered the chance of revenge. Kain accepted his offer without hesistation and was re-born on Nosgoth, as a vampire.
- Yeah, it's a bit of a mouthful as a basic story to get you started, but if you haven't played the game, then boy, you don't know the half of it.
